UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz will take place Dec. 8, 2012 from Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

UFC lightweight champion Ben Henderson will make the second defense of his title to No. 1 contender Nate Diaz. UFC president Dana White had previously confirmed that Diaz would face the winner of the lightweight championship bout between Henderson and former title holder Frankie Edgar.

In addition to the lightweight title bout, former UFC light-heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will square off with rising star Alexander Gustafsson.

Although a bout between future UFC Hall of Famer B.J Penn and welterweight phenom Rory Macdonald was cancelled for UFC 152 in Toronto after MacDonald suffered an injury, the fight will now take place during the main card of UFC on Fox 5.
