Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva is a powerful striker and gifted grappler. He is a jiu-jitsu black belt and trains out of American Top Team (ATT) in Coconut Creek, Florida. His biggest win came against Fedor Emelianenko in Strikeforce's heavyweight tournament. He lost to Daniel Cormier in the semi-finals.

Bigfoot Silva also holds notable wins over former UFC heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Ricco Rodriguez. He has notable losses to Strikeforce heavyweight Fabricio Werdum and Eric Pele.

Silva suffers from Acromegaly, which causes enlargement of facial and body features.
