A former collegiate wrestler from Arizona State, Cain Velasquez is a highly-regarded, undefeated heavyweight. He made his MMA debut in Strikeforce, and it only took two fights before he was signed by the UFC. His most notable victory to date is his knockout of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

At UFC 121 Cain faced Brock Lesnar for Lesnar's UFC heavyweight championship. Velasquez stopped Lesnar with strikes in the first round to win the title.
