An American wrestler, Gray Maynard came to the UFC by way of "The Ultimate Fighter," where he fought on Team Penn. Maynard was a wrestling stand-out at Michigan State University, and now trains at Xtreme Couture. He is undefeated in MMA competition, and defeated Kenny Florian at UFC 118 to earn a shot at the UFC lightweight title. He is known for his ability to outwrestle opponents and control them to earn a decision win.
