A professional boxer as well as mixed martial artist, KJ Noons is the former EliteXC lightweight champion, now signed with Strikeforce. He was stripped of the lightweight title when he refused to defend it against Nick Diaz, the same man he took the title from. Noons took some time away from MMA to try and further his boxing career, but found mixed results and returned to MMA in 2010 where, after picking up several wins, he would lose in his bid to move up in weight and take the welterweight title from Diaz.
