There was a certain expectation in the minds of hardcore fans when Japanese featherweight kingpin Hatsu Hioki stepped into the Octagon this past Saturday at UFC 137 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Many of us hoped for a definitive answer to a question while others sought to lay more bricks onto the foundation of an argument that has become more prevalent as time has passed.
DREAM held its Fight for Japan event last night. Masakazu Imanari and Hideo Tokoro advanced to the bantamweight GP finals to be held later this summer, while Shinya Aoki submitted Rich Clementi.
On Sunday, DREAM officially announced that Japanese lightweight kingpin Shinya Aoki would face MFC and UFC veteran Antonio McKee at the 'Fight for Japan' charity event on May 29th at Saitama Super Arena.
