Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion that now competes for the Strikeforce organization. His next bout will be February 12, 2011 at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He will take on PRIDE, DREAM and K-1 veteran Sergei Kharitonov as part of the first round quarterfinals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix.

Arlovski, hailing from Belarus, has notable wins over former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia, UFC heavyweight Ben Rothwell, former UFC and Strikeforce heavyweight Paul Buentello, the late Justin Eilers and Strikeforce heavyweight Fabricio Werdum.

He holds notable losses to former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko, Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, Pedro Rizzo, Tim Sylvia and Ricco Rodriguez.

Arlovski is a sambo expert, but generally prefers to strike with opponents. He has worked under boxing expert Freddie Roach, although the two are no longer working together.

Arlovski has fought in Strikeforce, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Affliction, M-1, EliteXC and other small tournaments.

Andrei Arlovski is currently ranked 17th among mixed martial arts (MMA) heavyweights according to the USA TODAY/SB Nation Consensus MMA Rankings.
