Gina Carano is a female mixed martial artist who currently competes for the Strikeforce organization. She has a record of 7 wins and 1 loss, her sole defeat coming at the hands of the current Strikeforce women's welterweight champion Cris "Cyborg" Santos. She is arguably women's MMA's most popular fighter.

Carano started her career in competitive kickboxing under the tutelage of muay Thai trainer Master Toddy. She has fought in Hook N' Shoot, EliteXC and Strikeforce.

While Carano spent much of 2010 neither training nor competing in MMA in order to shoot and star in a spy action movie "Haywire", which is directed by Steven Soderbergh. She has been offered, but never done a photo shoot with Playboy magazine.

When involved in MMA, Carano trains with UFC legend Randy Couture at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Nevada.
