Nick "The Goat" Thompson is a well-rounded veteran fighting out of Minnesota Martial Arts Academy alongside fighters like Brock Lesnar, Brock Larson, Sean Sherk and Kaitlin Young. He is coached by Greg Nelson.
A former Division I amateur wrestler at the University of Wisconsin, Thompson first started training mixed martial arts under Dave Strasser at the Freestyle Academy.
Thompson has fought in UFC, EliteXC, Strikeforce, Sengoku, BodogFIGHT and numerous other organizations.
He holds notable wins over Eddie Alvarez, Fabricio Monteiro, Paul "Semtex" Daley and Chris Wilson.
He has notable losses to Karo Parisyan, Jake Shields, Dan Hornbuckle and Tim Kennedy.
He faces Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren in a non-title fight at Bellator 40.
