A former heavyweight fighter now competing at light heavyweight, this UFC fighter of Moari descent began his career fighting on smaller Australian shows before working his way up to the UFC. He holds a notable to current Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard via shoulder injury.

He has notable wins over UFC veteran Anthony "The Hippo" Perosh, Anthony Rea and Igor Pokrajac, which he earned at the UFC's first event in Australia (UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez).

He takes on Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch on March 3, 2011.
