The Ultimate Fighting Championship is an American-based Mixed Martial Arts company founded in 1993 by Art Davies, Rorion Gracie and Semaphore Entertainment Group (SEG). Currently owned by Zuffa, LLC and headed by UFC President Dana White, the UFC is the largest MMA company in the world, holding events around the world and viewed in over 130 countries, in over 20 languages. The UFC consists of five different weight classes (Heavyweight, Light-Heavyweight, Middleweight, Welterweight, Lightweight) each with a champion. All events take place inside of an eight-sided cage called "the Octagon."
