World Extreme Cagefighting is an American Mixed Martial Arts promotion which was formed in 2001 by Scott Adams and Reed Harris. UFC parent company Zuffa, LLC purchased WEC in December 2006. Scott Adams and Reed Harris remained with WEC and are currently co-managers for the promotion. WEC currently features three weight classes: Lightweight, Featherweight, and Bantamweight.
