Headline is correct

But there is rain forecasted for Monday into Tuesday. That could easily extend into Sunday and we could be in a situation where cars are just about ready to take the green when it starts to downpour.

Forecast is Correct too

I don’t know where you were getting your data but this is a solid forecast. Just because there is rain for Monday and a Tuesday doesn’t mean it will rain Sunday afternoon. The high pressure will last through the day Sunday . Warmer air and showers are possible late Sunday night after midnight, maybe late evening but we will have no problem with the race.

Rain Came in Well after the Race

My forecast was solid. It was a nice day for the race and yes it rained later that evening well after the race was over. Bottom line rain was never a threat for the race. I reserve the line “Getting the Race in” for when it rains with in an hour of the race finishing. Or if rain is on the radar with in 75-50 miles just as the race is finishing. That is “just getting the race in”

No matter how you want to spin it my forecast was right. I didn’t mention rain cause it wasn’t a concern for what I was forecasting for, the time the race was going to take place. Thank you for reading.
