In case you've been wrapped up in wrapping paper the last few weeks, we have a public service announcement for you.
Denny Hamlin is giving away a Christmas present that may be hard for anyone to top. Even Santa.
On Dec. 10, Hamlin announced on his Twitter page that he planned to give away an all-expenses paid vacation to any destination in the United States.
The offer, according to Hamlin's Twitter:
@dennyhamlin: Make sure u check in christmas day at 3pm est. I'm giving away a dream vacation to one of my followers. Location of your choice, flight and spending money all included.
Hamlin said he planned to provide a trip for a family of up to four people. Oh, and the giveaway is today.
We don't know what kind of contest he plans to have at 3 p.m. Eastern this afternoon, but you've got at least a 1-in-43,000 shot, which is waaaay better than the lottery.
So go ahead and win Hamlin's vacation. And feel free to invite us along.
UPDATE: Jennifer Meyering of Pennsylvania (aka @DizneyDreamer) won Hamlin's trivia contest by being the 11th person to correctly answer that the sum of all the presents in the "12 Days of Christmas" song is 364.
Meyering said via e-mail that she plans to use her prize not to go to a Disney park or the beach but to a race.
"I am going to go to a NASCAR race – the Brickyard 400!" she said. "I am sooooo excited and can't wait!"
Hamlin's challenge drew hundreds of responses and his #11in11 hashtag became the No. 3 trending topic on Twitter in the United States.

Thanks!
Thanks Jeff for being so on top of things even during the off season and Christmas! Me, I missed not only his announcement earlier but also yours! Glad that she’s going to go to a race! (you might want to tell her to pick a better track. While Indy is iconic and a neat track, you can’t see anything! Go to Cali or Vegas!)
