Charlotte Motor Speedway To Introduce Danica Patrick Fit Fuel Menu At Bank Of America 500

The same people that brought you the 'Funnel Bacakonator' and deep-fried butter are now introducing a new, healthier option for fans attending this weekend's Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The new "Danica Patrick Fit Fuel" menu will feature lighter options, as well as vegetarian meals for those fans looking to watch their waistline while attending the race.

"For me, it's important to always eat healthy and balanced meals so I have enough energy for the task at hand," Patrick said. "My Fit Fuel menu is loaded with healthy options, so fans can make smart choices about what they eat when they're enjoying the races."

Patrick is not the only health-conscious driver in NASCAR, but perhaps her appeal to women is the true driving force behind this new menu.

Working with Levy Restaurants, Patrick and regional executive chef Phil Bucco have put together a menu that will offer grilled food, salads, fruit and vegetables, as well as healthy snacks.

The Danica Patrick Fit Fuel menu will be available in a separate concession stand, located in the Ford Grandstands in Section K.

Not watching your weight while at the track? Do not fret. There are still plenty of other options including turkey legs, hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and, of course, the all-new Funnel Bacakonator, which is a funnel cake topped with bacon pieces, drizzled with chocolate and strawberry sauces.

"Enjoying fun and unique foods is a big part of the racing experience," track president Marcus Smith said. "We always want to push the envelope when it comes to our concessions and offer our fans something they can only enjoy in Charlotte. I've personally tried the Funnel Bacakonator and it is awesome. I can't wait for the fans to try these new items and see what they think."
