NASCAR At Charlotte Motor Speedway: 2011 Chase Weekend Schedule

Take a look at the weekend schedule for the fifth race of the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads home to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend for the fifth race of the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Following last weekend's race at Kansas Speedway, the top-eight Chase drivers are separated by only 20 points with Carl Edwards leading the way by only one point over Kevin Harvick. 

In addition to the Sprint Cup Series, the NASCAR Nationwide Series hits the 1.5-mile speedway, while the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is on the road at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. 

Rain is in the area Thursday afternoon, so the schedule is subject to change. 

Here is a look at the weekend schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway (all times EASTERN):

THURSDAY

2 p.m. - NASCAR Nationwide Series practice (1 hour, 20 minutes)

3:30 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice (1 hour, 30 minutes)

6:10 p.m. - NASCAR Nationwide Series final practice (50 minutes)

7:10 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying (2 laps)

FRIDAY

3:05 p.m. - NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying (2 laps)

4:30 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice (45 minutes)

5:50 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series final practice (1 hour)

7:30 p.m. - NASCAR Nationwide Series race (200 laps, 300 miles)

SATURDAY

2:30 p.m. - Better Half Dash charity race

7:30 p.m. - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race (334 laps, 501 miles)
