Since Thursday night, showers and storms have been rolling through the Charlotte area. This off and on activity of storms and showers will continue as we go into Friday night and into Saturday morning as a stalled front dies out over the region on Saturday. Although there is a chance of showers and storms on Saturday the risk is not very high and I wouldn't be surprised to see if all the on track activities stay rain free. If a storm does pop up tomorrow don't be totally surprised because it was mentioned in the forecast.
Saturday:
10:00 a.m EDT
Nationwide Qualifying – Partly Sunny - temp: 72
11:30 a.m EDT
Sprint Cup Practice – Sun & clouds, isolated storm possible - temp: 78
12:50 p.m EDT
Sprint Final Practice – Sun & clouds, isolated storm possible - temp: 80
2:30 p.m. EDT
Nationwide Race – Sun & clouds, isolated storm possible - temp: 84
Sunday:
FORECAST: It is going to be very warm, summer-like on Sunday during the day. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s. There will be clouds and haze but still enough sunshine expected for the need of sunscreen. Have fun, take care and stay hydrated so you can enjoy NASCAR's longest race of the season.
