Robby Gordon may be looking for someone to hold his watch.
Gordon, upset at being dumped by Joey Logano during Sunday's NASCAR race at Infineon Raceway, said Logano needs to look over his shoulder in the coming weeks.
"He took me out," Gordon said. "I passed him clean, and I guess he didn't think it was clean. I guess I need to pull a Richard Childress on him, just not at the racetrack."
Gordon had to settle for an 18th-place finish, while Logano finished sixth and said he had no regrets about standing up for himself on the track.
"He drives like a moron every week," Logano said. "We were a lot faster than him. I got outside of him one corner and he knocked in my fender, all that shit there. So I had enough of it. I'm not going to get pushed around; I don't care."
Veteran racer Max Papis, who has been coaching Logano on road courses, said he told the young driver to "send" Gordon if the latter driver blocked one more time.
Obviously, Logano listened.
"There is no time to block people in NASCAR," Papis said. "And Robby should know better than that, I think."
Said Logano: "It's not a big deal to me. My car is fine. We finished sixth. I think that's the smallest story you could possibly find out here."
