The only threat of rain today is this morning, with a few lingering light showers and maybe some drizzle through mid morning. It is possible that some drizzle or an isolated shower linger into 11 am CDT when the cars are scheduled to roll off but this time around I feel much better saying we should be dry by the time the engines are fired and the race starts.

As we head into the afternoon, it will remain mostly cloudy, but dry. Temperatures will be cool but no rain beyond noon is expected. Enjoy the first race of the 2011 chase for the Sprint Cup, even if it is one day late.
