The AMA's Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship released its 2013 schedule on Thursday, and it features one notable addition along with one event that will be announced at a later date.

The new race included on next year's calendar is the Southeast Bristol National at Muddy Creek Raceway, which will be held just outside of Bristol, Tenn. – just down the road from Bristol Motor Speedway. It's an interesting venture for AMA to get near the heart of NASCAR country and could attract some racing fans who traditionally are used to watching stock cars.

All together, the 2013 schedule is comprised of 12 races with the season beginning the weekend before Memorial Day and concluding in late August.

Here is the complete 2013 schedule for the AMA Motocross Championship:

May 18: Hangtown Motocross Classic, Sacramento, Calif.

May 25: Thunder Valley National, Lakewood, Colo.

June 1: Bristol National, Blountville, Tenn.

June 8: High Point National, Mt. Morris, Pa.

June 22: Budds Creek National, Mechanicsville, Md.
