It's one of the premier events in professional racing, but sometimes putting upwards of 258,000 butts to cover every inch of bleacher seating can be a bit difficult.
Earlier today, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway sent word that plenty of great seats at great prices for Sunday's Indianapolis 500 still remain.
After a bit of poking around, there's truth to their advertising!
That's right, 48 hours away from when racers will start their engines for the 96th running of The Greatest Spectacle in Racing, Indy 500 tickets priced between $30 general admission (access to the Speedway's infield) to $90 C-Stand seats are still available.
While the race has not seen a downturn in attention and hype in recent years, it has allegedly suffered at the gates, although it's been nearly impossible to confirm due to a quirky tradition that leaves attendance numbers to the imagination.
So if you live in the Indianapolis area or neighboring states and are seriously considering an impulse buy that immediately makes your Memorial Day Weekend plans far more exciting than mine, that opportunity is there for the taking.
If you're not within reasonable driving distance to central Indiana, the track website's 3D seat view is at least a little way to kill 30 minutes.
