2012 Coke 600 Race Day Weather Forecast: Looking Dry For Tonight

The weather forecast for NASCAR's longest race -- the Coca-Cola 600 -- at Charlotte Motor Speedway is very warm, very muggy and mostly dry.

There is just a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm during the late afternoon and early evening thanks to subtropical storm Beryl.

Beryl should make landfall along the Florida/Georgia boarder later this evening. Moisture associated with this system will work into the Carolinas during the day providing just enough instability to spark an isolated shower or two between 5 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET

The threat of storms affecting for the Coca-Cola 600 is very low and seems very unlikely. I will be monitoring the radar through the day and evening for any potential development.
