An ugly thing happened on Thursday night at Williams Grove Speedway in Pennsylvania: Sprint car driver Tyler Walker, incensed at a call that went against his team, tore into officials with foul language and threats of violence. His crew then fought security personnel at the track, with even a female security guard getting roughed up.
All of it was caught on video here:
Walker was thrown out of the track and suspended for an additional race, according to tweets. He will be eligible to return to competition on Saturday night.
Obviously, this goes far beyond the acceptable limits of showing displeasure at an official's ruling. And the video of the whole incident is just very, very ugly.
