The flow of a NASCAR race day has always fascinated me. The morning builds with anticipation, the track buzzes with excitement as the green flag and the cars roar to life and angrily storm around the track for three hours.
And then, just like that, it's over. The fans leave, the celebration ends and all that's left is a few workers cleaning up the remnants of the day.
A couple hours after the race, the track is typically calm and peaceful. It's such a contrast to earlier in the day, so I usually take a picture before leaving the venue.
I call these the "Quiet Track" picture, and I post one on Twitter after each race I attend. But with the redesigned SB Nation site, I figured now might be a good time to put them all in one place.
Above is a gallery of all the Quiet Track pictures from this season (they were all taken on an iPhone; some have a filter from Instagram).
