A trust fund has also been established for Leffler's 5-year-old son, Charlie Dean and, in lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be sent to the fund. Donations can be made to The Charlie Dean Leffler Discretionary Trust, SunTrust Bank, 232 Williamson Road, Mooresville, N.C., 28117. This trust will serve as the official Leffler Family fund, with all finds going directly to Charlie's needs.
Turner Scott Motorsports co-owner Harry Scott Jr., former Braun Racing owner Todd Braun -- who Leffler drove for in Nationwide -- along with Steve Overholser, CFO of Great Clips (Leffler's longtime sponsor) will serve as trustees.
Several drivers are carrying stickers honoring Leffler, who went by the nickname LefTurn, on their cars this weekend at Michigan International Speedway.
