Kyle Busch joins other NASCAR drivers in a battle against 80 of the best short track Late Model drivers at the Milwaukee Mile on July 8 and 9.

If the Howie Lettow Memorial 150 Super Late Model race isn't on your bucket list yet, it probably should be.

The event, which will take place on July 8 and 9 at the legendary Milwaukee Mile short track will feature over 80 of the best short track Late Model drivers in the country vying for 42 starting spots and ultimately one of the most sought-after trophies in all of stock car racing.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and former track winner Kyle Busch was just announced for the event and joins fellow NASCAR stars Matt Kenseth, David Ragan and Joe Nemechek in the field.

"I think it's a cool event to have Late Models racing around a big track like Milwaukee," Busch told Speed 51 on Thursday. "The Howie Lettow Memorial is a neat race just because of Howie and everything that he has done for the Super Late Model racing... I think that's why a lot of people enjoy going there and racing in his race."

The race is held as a tribute to Lettow, a longtime ASA crew chief who passed away from cancer in 2010. He worked primarily in the old ASA National Tour with Baker Enterprises, All-Star Racing, Herzog Motorsports and WalTom Racing as both a crew chief and team manager.

Drivers who worked with Lettow and earned Rookie of the Year honors in ASA include Jimmie Johnson, Ken Lund, Ted Musgrave, Scott Hansen, Steve Holzhausen, Steve Carlson, Ricky Johnson and David Stremme.

It was during his time with Stremme that Busch first met Lettow and remembers those conversations fondly.

"I went to a test one time and saw a couple guys running around there," Busch said. "Seeing some of that, getting to talk to him and just seeing how smart he was. That was where he was happy. He was happy in the Super Late Model ranks and didn't really want to go much further than that. That's what he dedicated his life to and that's what he enjoyed doing."

Over 80 of the best stock car drivers in the country will celebrate that life in just a few short weeks. The complete massive entry list can be found below.
