NASCAR Richmond 2014 schedule: Sprint Cup Series resumes after week off

Kevin Harvick will shoot for his second-consecutive victory in the Toyota Owners 400 on Saturday.

Kevin Harvick has a couple of things working in his favor entering the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series' stop in Richmond, Va., this weekend.

Kevin Harvick's Season

The 38-year-old Stewart Haas Racing driver won the Toyota Owners 400 in Richmond last year, and now he's coming off of a victory in the last race before the Easter break, dominating from start to finish in the Bojangles' Southern 500 on April 12. Harvick has won at Richmond three times in his career, and a fourth would help him climb out of an early-season hole which has him at No. 22 in the NSCS points standings despite two wins this season as a result of failing to finish on two occasions.

Here's the weekend schedule of events surrounding the Sprint Cup Series race (via Jayski's):

Friday, April 25

8 a.m. ET: Garage opens
9 a.m.: Rookie and spotter meetings
10 a.m. to noon: Practice
1 to 2 p.m.: Final practice
5:10 p.m.: Qualifying
8 p.m.: Garage closes

Saturday, April 26

Noon ET: Garage opens
5 p.m.: Driver/crew chief meetings
6:30 p.m.: Driver introductions
7 p.m.: Toyota Owners 400
