2014 NASCAR at Texas race day weather forecast part 2: It's dry

Unfortunately rain won the day on Sunday pushing the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway to Monday. Mother Nature will be more cooperative today.

UPDATE: Start Delayed

Rain has plagued NASCAR for most of the 2014 season. In fact, there has only been two race weekends where rain was never a problem, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Auto Club Speedway. Despite all the rain, Sunday's race was the first race that had to be rescheduled due to the weather. The good news is it looks like Mother Nature going to cooperate and allow NASCAR to start and finish the Duck Commander 500 with out the worry of rain.

Weather forecast for today at Texas Motor Speedway will feature a mix of sunshine and clouds. There is a threat of rain for the afternoon but from all the data I have looked at, it holds off until after the race is finished. Temperatures will also be warmer getting back into the 60s with a wind out of the northwest between 5 and 10 mph.
