Kyle Busch has a new motto -- “Everything is great” -- and it’s a saying the former Monster Cup Series champion said frequently this past weekend at Phoenix International Raceway when he wanted to avoid discussing his feud with Joey Logano, whom Busch tried to punch the week before.
Busch is now emblazoning that saying on the front of a T-shirt and selling it on his website, RowdyBusch.com, with all proceeds benefiting the Kyle Busch Foundation. And in what is likely not a coincidence, the cost of a shirt is $22, which just happens to be Logano’s car number.

Logano and Busch had an on-track incident on the final lap of the March 12 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that resulted in Logano sliding into Busch and spinning him out. Afterward, Busch walked down pit road and threw a right cross at Logano before being immediately wrestled to the ground by Logano’s crew members. Busch emerged from the dogpile bleeding from a cut on his forehead.
To clear the air and ensure there would be no further retaliation, NASCAR met with Busch and Logano on Friday prior to practice at Phoenix. When the meeting concluded both drivers separately spoke with the media, but while Logano was open about the sequence of events Busch answered the five questions he was asked by saying, “Everything is great.”
Busch also uttered that saying following Sunday’s Camping World 500, a race that saw him lead the most laps but finish third due to an ill-timed caution -- ironically for an accident involving Logano.
“Everything’s great,” Busch said. “We got a top five and that’s what we set out to do today and we got a third so we should be pumped about that.”
