In what may be the most critical team workout to date, the Charlotte Bobcats are hosting top draft picks Bradley Beal and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist together on Monday. Both players are expected to be among the top five selected in the draft, so their performance against each other could go a long way in determining the Bobcats' decision with the No. 2 pick.
Both Kidd-Gilchrist and Beal have begun to work out for more teams. Kidd-Gilchrist conducted a solo workout with the Wizards, who hold the No. 3 pick, on Friday. Beal worked out for the Wizards on Thursday, then joined fellow potential top five pick Harrison Barnes for a workout with the Cavaliers, who hold the No. 4 pick, on Saturday.
The Bobcats are rumored to be open to trading the pick, but if they make the selection, most believe the team will decide between Kidd-Gilchrist, Beal, Barnes and Kansas forward Thomas Robinson.
