Nuggets Vs. Wizards: Carmelo Anthony Isn't Hot, But Teammates Are As Denver Races Past Washington

Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points on 8-20 shooting, but his Denver Nuggets teammates did the heavy lifting in a 120-109 victory over the Washington Wizards. The Nuggets shot 12-23 on three-pointers, with Al Harrington a ridiculous 6-8. The Wizards, meanwhile, strong in other offensive facets of the game, hit just 2-13 from long-range.

From behind the arc was about the only place Nick Young didn't have success. Young shot 10-14 on two-point attempts, but went 0-5 from long-range. For some odd reason, Rashard Lewis isn't shooting nearly as much as you'd expect him to, so if Young isn't hitting long jumpers, chances are that no one on the Wizards is.

Andray Blatche, awful against the New York Knicks on Monday, had a bounce back game with 25 points on 8-14 shooting, nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and, as far as I know, zero kicked puppies. I like to believe the timing with the State of the Union had something to do with it; Andray Blatche is nothing if not a great patriot.
