From Yahoo! Sports, probably the best part of this Adrian Wojnarowski column:
Privately, management insists that everything changed when the Boston Celtics’ Kevin Garnett walked into the negotiating room on Oct. 4. The owners knew it wouldn’t go well when Garnett started glowering across the table, sources said, like the league lawyers, owners and officials were opponents at the center jump. ...
As one league official said, "We were making progress, until Garnett [expletive] everything up."
This might be the sort of thing that sparks criticism from sports columnists, but that's not really fair. In fact, it reminds me of a Chris Rock routine where he's talking about that tiger that went "crazy" and attacking Siegfried & Roy, and Rock explains, "That Tiger ain't go crazy, that Tiger went Tiger!"
And KG didn't go crazy, either.
He just is crazy.
And lockout or not, that's why we'll always love him.

bull
owners waggled some super exclusive insider info in woj’s face and he took the bait. this is disinformation to foster acrimony in the union. it’s a load until its corroborated by something other than SBNation’s perceptions of KG as a player.

Bill Simmons insinuated the same story the day after it happened. I think between he and Woj they have some pretty damn good sources.

David Stern can't counter Kevin Garnett? Come on.
Stern is destroying his legacy. As of December, both sides will lose the money about which they’ve been arguing. Both sides are so eager to show they haven’t caved that they have carried this beyond the point where it makes economic sense.
As for Garnett, I wonder if there is a method to his madness. He could probably use the time off. On the other hand, if they try to fit 50 games into 60 days, Garnett may break down even more quickly than he would over a long season.

Stern's legacy
I thought his legacy was creating an NBA with multiple expansion failures, a failed labor deal, and alleged cheating by officials. The NBA grew in popularity under him, but that has as much if not more to do with the players than him.

Can KG just go away?
What a jerkoff. I mean, he has to be the biggest jerk in sports right?
Both sides are at fault for this. But having an uneducated guy going into an intense labor negotiation and yelling about God know what is not a good strategy on the players side. I hope his knees blow out again.
