Kobe Bryant's Wife Files For Divorce, Didn't Sign Prenuptial Agreement

Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Los Angeles Lakers Kobe Bryant, has filed for a divorce.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa Bryant, has filed for divorce according to multiple reports. Vanessa Bryant had recently stuck with Kobe through thick and thin, including his 2003 incident where Kobe was accused of sexually assaulting a women in Colorado. Previously, Vanessa Bryant tried to work things through with Kobe, but has since decided to end their marriage. The biggest surprise however, is the fact that according to TMZ, the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement.

According to the legal docs, Vanessa is asking for joint custody of their 2 daughters -- 8-year-old Natalia and 5-year-old Giana -- but Vanessa is asking that Kobe get visitation rights, which means she wants the kids in her care most of the time.

We've learned the couple has NO PRENUP, so 29-year-old Vanessa is entitled to half of the empire Kobe built over the last decade.

With the realization that Bryant did not have a prenup in his marriage, reaction quickly spread to Twitter. The words "Damn Kobe" and "#noprenup" began to trend in the United States almost immediately after the story broke. Currently, Kobe Bryant's net worth is believed to be around $360 million.

Kobe, when reached for comment about the fact that he did not have a prenuptial agreement had this to say:
