Read More: Stephen Curry (G - GSW), Golden State Warriors
Stephen Curry is expected to play in the Golden State Warriors' much-anticipated season-opener at home against the Los Angeles Clippers after suffering an ankle injury in the Warriors' first preseason game against the Sacramento Kings. From CSN Bay Area:
(Curry) participated in the Warriors' pregame walk-through two hours before game-time and was playing with the starting unit. Curry then went through his usual pregame shooting drills.
He was wearing a brace on the ankle that extended up to just below his knee.
This is a huge boon to the Warriors, who rely on Curry not only for his scoring and three-point shooting, but his facilitating, as he shares the point guard duties with Monta Ellis. Though neither are especially known as stoppers, the duo will be expected to guard Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups against the Clippers, so strength and lateral quickness will be crucial in doing so. For Warriors' fans sake, let's hope Curry can muster up as much as he can of both.
