Clippers Vs. Warriors: Lob City Debuts Quietly, L.A. Leads 24-20 After One

In perhaps the most anticipated game of the NBA's season-opening Christmas showcase, the Los Angeles Clippers officially unveiled their shiny new toy, Chris Paul, to pair with their slightly older toy, Blake Griffin, but the alley-oops haven't been abundant just yet, and the Clippers lead 24-20. Paul has five points and two assists, and Griffin has six points, but the only alley-oop thus far has been from Caron Butler to DeAndre Jordan.

Warriors guard Stephen Curry is healthy enough to play, but he's scored just two point — he does have two blocks though — and Andris Biedrins has shockingly led his team with six points in four rebounds. After a season that saw him bench last year, no one saw this coming. He's been active and assertive and has been the standout player of the quarter.

Chauncey Billups is also debuting in Lob City, and he's dominated the offense, for better or for worse, for seven points on five shots in his first game in maybe forever as a shooting guard playing alongside Paul. The next three quarters should be infinitely more exciting.
