Clippers Vs. Spurs: Manu Ginobili Dominant As San Antonio Beats Back Blake Griffin, L.A.

Blake Griffin scored 28, but it was Manu Ginobili who controlled the game in the San Antonio Spurs' 115-90 beatdown of the L.A. Clippers.

The L.A. Clippers will not go undefeated! The San Antonio Spurs made sure of that by dropping the hype-riddled Clippers to 1-1 with a powerful 115-90 victory at home on Wednesday. Manu Ginobili was dominant throughout, and led San Antonio with 24 points in ridiculously sharp shooting (6-10 floor, 5-8 threes, 7-7 line). Manu also had six assists and nary a turnover.

Blake Griffin had a game-high 28 points on 10-19 shooting (6-8 line) with nine rebounds, but the Clippers shot poorly overall (just 40 percent on two-pointers and 35 percent on threes) and L.A.'s defense was abysmal. The Spurs are quite good offensively, but they aren't "shoot 56 percent from the floor" good. Caron Butler got killed by Richard Jefferson (8-9 from the floor), Griffin gave up way too much to DeJuan Blair (20 points on 10-15) and Tony Parker outplayed Chris Paul.

The Spurs ran out to a 15-point second-quarter lead before the Clips pulled to within one; the Spurs ran away again in the second half.
