Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers are playing host to reigning MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on Friday night in a game scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. ET tip-off on NBA TV.

Whenever somebody asks who the best point guard in the NBA today is, there's bound to be controversy. Two of the best will take part in Friday night's nationally televised game, however, as Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls pay a visit to Lob City to match-up with Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers in a game scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. ET tip-off on NBA TV.

The Bulls are 2-1 early on in the season, a solid record considering they opened the season with a four-game roadtrip on the West Coast that ends tonight. Chicago is coming off of a 108-98 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night as Rose scored a team-high 19 points to go with eight assists and a disappointingly high six turnovers.

The Clippers have opened with a lighter schedule than most in the early goings of this truncated season as Friday night's affair will be just the third game the new-look L.A. team has played. Paul and the other end of his alley-oop, Blake Griffin, are off to solid starts as the reigning Rookie of the Year is averaging 25 points and eight rebounds while Paul is averaging 15 points and nine assists.

One other interesting note to keep an eye is that the current head coach of the Clippers, Vinny Del Negro, previously coached the Bulls before being fired in 2010.
