Miami Heat's Mike Miller Suffers Concussion In Win Over Indiana Pacers

Miami Heat guard Mike Miller was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday after taking an elbow to the head, apparently suffering a concussion. After the game, Miller was exhibiting symptoms consistent with those of a concussion while also suffering a contusion above his right eye.

As a precaution, Miller won't play as the Heat travel to Toronto to face the Raptors on Wednesday, instead staying in Indiana for further testing.

He left the arena in a wheelchair nursing a knot above his eye after taking an elbow from Jeff Foster in the third quarter of the Heat's 110-103 victory over the Indiana Pacers. A Heat staff member went to the hospital with him. The team called the injury a "contusion" over his right eye.

It's the second time in less than a week Miller has underwent concussion tests and third time in as many games he's take a blow to the head. Ahead of the Heat's loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday, Miller was reportedly examined by doctors after exhibiting concussion-like symptoms after taking a blow to the head on Friday against the Detroit Pistons. He was cleared to play, but suffered another hard blow to the head after a hard screen by Kevin Garnett.
