John Kuester's career as coach of the Detroit Pistons seems to have hit a new low. After leading his team to a 27-55 record in 2009-10, he isn't doing much better in 10-11, as the Pistons stand at 21-38. Today, several of his players, who have been critical of him all season, reportedly skipped practice in protest.
And tonight, his own bench laughed at him after he was ejected. Video is after the jump.

Ouch. I haven't studied the Pistons closely enough this season to make a moral judgment of whether giggling at Kuester was a crappy thing to do; I'll say only that I could imagine scenarios in which that wouldn't be inappropriate.
Regardless, that's kind of painful to watch. Kuester's work in Detroit hasn't been impressive, and based on the rumors from earlier today and this laugh-off from tonight, he doesn't seem to hold much authority. The fallout ought to be interesting.
