Hedo Turkoglu Knee Injury: LeBron James Buckles Magic Forward

Hedo Turkoglu crumpled to the paint with an apparent knee injury after a collision with Miami Heat forward LeBron James. During a rebound attempt, James fell into the side of Turkoglu’s knee, appearing to nearly bend his knee sideways. It was clearly an inadvertent impact on the part of James.

Turkoglu stayed down while teammates and medical staff checked on him, pointing to his right knee and high-fiving a passing Mike Miller. He winced in pain, but didn’t appear to be in overwhelming pain.

He declined a visit to the locker room, preferring to sit on the bench with a heating pad in his warmups. That’s a good sign for Magic fans, as the team can’t afford to lose another big man. He intends to return to the game at some point.

The first quarter has ended, giving Turkoglu a few more minutes of downtime to see if he can recover.
