Nets Vs. Knicks Score: Carmelo Anthony's Boys Win The Battle Of The Tri-State Area

Is this a big rivalry? One in the making? Are Nets fans bitter that they didn't get Carmelo Anthony? Do they hate him yet? I have no idea, I live in cow town, but this game seemed like the kind of thing that could start a rivalry. Especially if The Prohkorov is about to bring in some seriously high end dudes to play with Deron Williams. Both teams played some great offensive ball from wire to wire, but it was Anthony and his boys who shined brighter, winning by a score of 120-116.

While this game didn't feature a whole lot of great defense or bench play, the stars came to shine and they shot the lights out. Anthony dropped 39 points, Chauncy Billups scored 33 on the back of a 10-10 performance from the free throw line, and Anthony Morrow somehow stole the show for the Nets with 30. At this point, the Nets are going to be a high lottery team, so all they're looking for is encouraging play. Though the Nets lost, their fans have to be excited about what's to come in the next few years. For the Knicks, the playoff chase is on.
