The Toronto Raptors have many international players on their roster, but it is an American in DeMar DeRozan that is leading them in the team's game against the New Jersey Nets in London. DeMar DeRozan has 14 points to lead the Raptors to a 51-47 lead on the Nets at halftime.
DeRozan got out of the gate fast early, scoring 10 first-quarter points, but the Raptors trailed 27-23 after one quarter. They rallied with a 10-0 run to start the second quarter to take a 33-27 lead with 8:57 remaining in the second quarter. The two teams were tied at 47, but Sonny Weems scored four points to provide the margin.
Brook Lopez leads New Jersey with 17 points on 8-10 shooting, while forward Kris Humphries had 10 rebounds in the half. Deron Williams, who is playing despite complaints about injury and fatigue, has seven assists, but is shooting just 1-7 from the field.
