Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets was not in doubt for very long, with the home team racing to a double-digit lead almost instantly. Though Denver pulled within 11 points a number of times, the Thunder were able to hang on for a 106-89 win, giving them a 2-0 series lead heading to Denver on Saturday night.
Kevin Durant achieved 23 points, five assists, and five boards, with four other OKC players scoring in double figures. Russell Westbrook scored 21 and dished seven assists, but also turned the ball over seven times.
Ty Lawson led Denver with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The biggest concern for the Nuggets heading into Game 3 is going to be finding a way to work the glass with Serge Ibaka, Kendrick Perkins, and Nick Collison in the paint. The three combined for 31 boards tonight.
