Lakers Vs. Blazers Score: Andre Miller Starts Hot As Two Teams Engaged In Close Battle

Andre Miller got off to a hot start for the Portland Trail Blazers after taking on the role of distributor Thursday night in the Blazers 98-87 win over the Utah Jazz. But on Friday, scoring has been the story for Miller as he came out firing, scoring a game-high eight points in the first quarter. The Blazers and Lakers are matching each other stride for stride, with the score knotted at 21 heading into the second quarter.

Pau Gasol has an early six points for the Lakers, with Ron Artest adding another five points to the mix. Kobe Bryant had four first quarter points while taking just four shots, making two.

Nicolas Batum picked up right where he left off on Thursday night with an early six points to compliment Miller for Portland. Gerald Wallace added five points and three rebounds and LaMarcus Aldridge added two points. Only four Blazers scored in the first, but it was enough to keep pace with the Lakers.
