NBA Playoffs Ratings On TNT Up 25 Percent

TNT is boasting that ratings for the NBA Playoffs are up 25 percent over last season. TNT reports a 3.0 average rating for its 33 games so far -- it will have the Eastern Conference Finals between the Bulls and Heat beginning Sunday -- and a 3.7 for the second round alone. Considering that the Heat-Celtics series ended in just five games, that's a nice increase.

Bulls-Heat should be another boon to TNT, as Miami has done enormous ratings all season and Derrick Rose has become one of the league's marquee stars. The ABC-ESPN family of networks will handle the Western Conference Finals, and ABC has the NBA Finals.
