The 2011 NBA Finals schedule is set, but the championship series between the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks won't begin until Tuesday, May 31. That gives both teams a full four-day break before action begins. The Mavericks earned a berth to the Finals on Wednesday night at home with a Western Conference Finals victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder; they found out their Finals opponent Thursday as the Heat eliminated the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
The Mavericks are older, and could theoretically use the rest. But the Heat's stars have played huge minutes of late -- LeBron James averaged 45 minutes per game in the Eastern Conference Finals, Chris Bosh averaged more than 31 and Dwyane Wade averaged nearly 40.
Here's the Finals schedule. All times are Eastern. All games are on ABC in the United States and TSN in Canada.
Game 1: Tue., May 31 in Miami, 9 p.m.
Game 2: Thu., June 2 in Miami, 9 p.m.
Game 3: Sun., June 5 in Dallas, 8 p.m.
Game 4: Tue., June 7 in Dallas, 9 p.m.
Game 5: Thu., June 9 in Dallas, 9 p.m.
Game 6: Sun., June 12 in Miami, 8 p.m.
Game 7: Tue., June 14 in Miami, 9 p.m.
