It hasn't been a fantastic day at the office so far for the Memphis Grizzlies' frontcourt (outside of Zach Randolph) in Game 3 of their NBA Playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but at least we got this one gem. Sam Young, who hasn't gotten a ton of minutes in this game, energized the crowd and turned momentum a bit, bringing the Grizz back into the game with this powerful tomahawk dunk.
That shot fake was money.
The powerful nature of the dunk was what brought the crowd to life, but the most impressive part of the play was easily how badly Young faked out Daequon Cook. Obviously, Cook is out there to be a shooter and he's not much of a defensive force, but it's great to watch a professional basketball player get schooled to that degree.
As ESPN color commentator Doris Burke noted, there are probably a few former Big East small forwards who know exactly how Cook feels right now.
