At halftime, the Dallas Mavericks' Jason Terry has nailed six three-pointers to help his team to a 24-point lead over the Los Angeles Lakers, 63-39. Terry started out with five-straight successful threes, four in the second quarter, and finished the half with 20 points.
Terry and his fellow reserves, Jose Barea and Peja Stojakovic, have combined for 40 points. Stojakovic helped the Mavericks to 11 threes on 15 attempts by sinking three of his own. Eleven three-pointers in the half is an NBA Playoffs record.
Kobe Bryant is attempting to keep the Lakers in the game with his 15 points. He's attempted 13 shots, more than double his nearest teammate. Unlike the Mavericks, the Lakers have struggled from three-point land, making just one on eight attempts.
Will the Lakers mount a second-half comeback to stave off elimination?
