Jason Terry continued his three-point assault on the Los Angeles Lakers in the third quarter, as his Mavericks now lead, 86-62. Terry now has nine successful threes (six in the first half) to tie an NBA record for threes in a playoff game. His 32 points along with a combined 27 from Jose Barea and Peja Stojakovic has the Mavs' bench almost outscoring the entire Lakers team, 62-59.
Out of the Mavs' starters, Dirk Nowitzki has 12 points and seven rebounds, but the bench is this game's story.
Kobe Bryant got stuck on 15 points in the third quarter, missing all three shots he attempted. Ron Artest missed an easy dunk midway through the quarter, in what could be considered a momentum breaker of the team.
The Mavs are one quarter away from sweeping the defending champions.
