NBA Players Beg For Jobs On Twitter As Lockout Begins

If there's one thing the NBA lockout has confirmed already, it's that the players are all recycling jokes. As soon as the clock struck midnight and the lockout began, you just knew players were going to use the "I need a job card." And while the delivery was different from player-to-player, that assumption held true as players attempted humor by joking about being unemployed.

After the jump, superstars begging for jobs, passing along resumes and the Gilbert Arenas show.

But don't worry, y'all: Gilbert has a job. In fact, if you read his time-line from late Thursday night and early Friday morning, he seems like one of the more sane players when it comes to the lockout.

We've already seen all these jokes before, gentlemen. The NFL was here first and is way ahead of the curve when it comes to lockouts and lockout humor, if there is any. Besides, we all know what the players are making; they're not exactly hurting for money at this point, nor will players like Dwyane Wade for quite some time.

Drop the unemployment jokes and get back to planking.
